Hello, sweety... it's my first post since I started my internship in Statistical Bureau of Indonesia (or Statistic Indonesia, or whatever I dunno which one is correct, simply call it BPS). Right now, I am going to share about my internship, since October 19, 2017 up to today.
The story began when I was too bored to be unemployed one, I was laying on my bed like all day long, holding my cellphone tightly like my boyfriend's arm (since I don't have one) while scrolling so many timelines restlessly and continuously youtube-ing. Speaking of which, fortunately I was only unemployed for only about two weeks, Alhamdulillaah. On October 18, I got a broadcast message from a friend that told me there was a job vacancy in BPS for 15 persons only, a prior internship which was 10 days earlier than my colleague, in Hukum dan Organisasi division to do analysis and evaluation of position (Analisis Jabatan dan Evaluasi Jabatan) in BPS, for a whole BPS, in regions and in BPS RI (central BPS). Without thinking this and that, I hurriedly sent an email as the registration. The intern vacancy was closed minutes after the broadcast was spread, yeah because the registrants were so many yet the need was only 15. Actually there were bunch of criteria for the interns, which was already stayed in Jakarta and willing to work overtime. I spontaneously agreed since I need to earn money for living wkwkwkwk lol. All I could say is that Allah's plan was, is and always be the best, because I got accepted to be one of the interns, while in the previous occasion I was like late to know the vacancy (about data entry). No need to question, the "rizki" will come to those who deserve, at the right time, at the right moment. No worries.
On October 19, we had to go to the BPS for a briefing about what we gotta do and every related things. Before the briefing started, we recorded our identity to "hand-key" as a indication of being presence in the office for the days ahead. I was so excited that I started to feel the office vibe wkwkwk, you may say I was too much, never mind. Next, we were introduced about the job description by Pak Taufik, Bu Melly, and Bu Dwi. Pak Ari and Pak Eko and Pak Adhit were also there to accompany us. My first impression was like "wow, the people were so nice and easy going, but the job seemed sooooooooooo many and scheduled to be done in a super short period" hahahahah. I was still okay, I was still excited. On that day, out of 15 interns, there were only 9 persons who attended the briefing, the rest went to office in the next morning and there was an additional intern. So, here we are, 16 persons having internship in Hukum dan Organisasi BPS. The names are
1. Aldi Ikbal R Siagian
2. Anugrah R K Yunus
3. Ardya Reyhan
4. Dedi Anggriawan
5. Evi Sanjaya
6. Fransiska Alda S Br Sembiring
7. Gede Ananda Nartapradnyana
8. Intan Wahyuni
9. Maryam Rahmadhaini
10. Mayang Pradina Putri
11. Ni Putu Natih Ayu Widiantari
12. Putri Vinasella Vrasedya
13. Regina Devi Nindi Andini
14. Wahyuni
15. Wiena Hardian Pratama
16. Yosi Octaviani Simanjuntak
On Friday, the first day when we gathered for the first time, the task was already there, bunch of "informasi jabatan" for every "Seksi" of "Subdirektorat" of "Direktorat" of "Deputi" of a whole BPS needed to be fulfilled. That day, we worked overtime hhhhhh. Ah ya, almost forget to mention that on that day I had a technical meeting for CIFP 2017 at Kota Kasablanka (Kokas), so after everything's done, I rushed to Kokas around 8 pm, sure it was so late, so I just met my coordinator and took the T-shirt. I touched down home around 9.30 pm. Finally, that day I missed my bed so bad.
The next week came, I got up early just because I hadn't been used to the daily routine as an officer so I needed extra efforts to catch the busway earlier in the morning. I walked out the house around 6 am then got the office around 6.40 am, ya it took around 40 minutes when the traffic went smooth. Third day, I worked extra hour for once more. Monday passed, so did Tuesday, then Wednesday came. On Wednesday, we headed to Grand Mercure Kemayoran for consignment related to the "Analisis & Evaluasi Jabatan" instead of office. All thanks to Bu Melly who took us along the way while we hadn't even worked for a week. Alhamdulillaah. Felt like staycation? Hahahah it might be true, but not 100% true. Despite working at a 5 star hotel, we worked from 8 am to 10 pm after all. Yeah, there were break times every 2 hours and various foods were already provided. We stayed at the hotel from Wednesday to Saturday, and the highlight of the staycation is.... FOOD. Of course, dozens of fancy foods. Sushi, udon, salad, seafood stew, cheese cake, red velvet cake, pasta, and so on. I just mentioned what I love the most.
I will give ya a brief review about the hotel qwqwqw let's just do it here. So the hotel has 27 floor, and we worked at 7th floor, while our rooms were at 15th floor. We had a room for two persons. After having some research it costed aroun 1,800k per night per room, while for buffet at the restaurant, it costed around 280k. The taste of the food were so delicious (in my case, I just tasted a few of them, my stomach wasn't enough to contain everything). The rooms were so comfy with super big bathroom, LED TV and everything, and also a city view. Ah ya, there was a extra info, if you put the key-card beside the cellphone, it somehow can't be use anymore, and if you lose the key-card, you have to pay 50k. That's all.
Those were photos I took whenever I remembered to make a documentary hhhhhhh. On Saturday, we checked out and faced the real life where no fancy food, no sauna, even no a fan grrrrr.
Anyway, maybe some of you wonder what exactly our job, here I tell ya some of them.
So, we collected all about the job description for every "Kepala Seksi", "Kepala Bagian", "Kepala Subdirektorat", "Kepala Direktorat", "Kepala Biro", and "Kepala Deputi", also the output for every job that has been done, been doing and will be done. Also, we made "peta jabatan" which consist of the number of person needed and "kelas jabatan" regarding the current condition. It's not only for BPS Pusat, but also BPS in provinces and regions. Etc etc etc.
To sum up, I am so grateful for being an intern in "Hukum dan Organisasi" division. Besides I could get so much more things other than Statistics, I could feel the relax vibe here, and all the people are friendly. And what made me so thankful for is, we got free lunch every day, at least up to the last Friday on November 3, 2017. Hahahaha, it sure helped us to survive remembering we don't get the salary yet.
Sorry for not capturing my Nasi Padang and Fried rice hhhhhh. Ah, ya, for breakfast, I usually had a breakfast in canteen, which is a bowl of Soto. One tip, that for those who want to minimize the cost, just ask for "Soto, dicampur" which costs 9k only (include warm tea), I mean that Soto which the soup and the rice aint separated, cause for the separated one it costs 12k (include warm tea).
Mmmmm what I should share for now? I don't get the idea yet. Maybe next time I'll just re-update or make new post.
Have a great day. Xx

ReplyDeleteBisa dong, masa wong ndeso ga bisa Bahasa Indonesia. Tapi gimana ya, namanya juga masi super bego bahasa Inggrisnya, makanya mesti belajar lebih keras dari Nona/Tuan, jadi this is my kinda practice. Terima kasih masukannya.
