#KEJARMIMPI

Hi guys, it's been so long since that time I updated my blog.
How's life? Is all going great? I do hope so.

Right now, I am going to share my precious memories I got from a Leaders Camp #KEJARMIMPI. To make it short, let's jump over it!

The story began when I saw an Instagram post of my friend's, Ayu, about Leaders Camp #KEJARMIMPI, and I spontaneously asked her whether she's a committee, and she said not. I din't ask any further but got myself clicked the account and surfed through the timeline. Ah ya, I almost forget to mention that what caught my eyes attention was Maudy Ayunda's photo. I couldn't deny her amusing vibe. So then I mention two friends, inform them to join but only one of them really joined, who is Isni. At first, I put not-really-high-expectation to be selected as a participant cause I was sure there would gonna be thousands applicants. But, THANK GOD, Alhamdulillaah, I was chosen as the one of 100 luckiest youth to join the camp, one of the committee, Kak Oliv told me through the email. But........ the fact didn't flow as smooth as it seemed. I was in a dilemma since I had a schedule to take a picture of my campus annual book on Friday while the camp also started on the same day since earlier morning. It got me confused and think harder that I had to choose between making good memories with my friend I live with for the last 4 years or taking chance to make some new friends and experiences in my last year in Jakarta. Anddddddd, my decision came to join the camp. I finally confirmed the committee that I could participate. And didn't forget to tell my classmate that I couldn't join them on the photo shoot.

The day I'd been waiting finally came, it was Friday, May 12, 2017. I rushed to the bus shelter around 6.30 am to get to GrahaCIMB Niaga, Senayan. It usually took 1-2 hours by bus. But, unfortunately after waiting around 30 minutes, all the bus passed with full of people inside. I didn't think I could bear to stand that long while hanging my heavy bag (contained of books to be submitted, and clothes to wear for 3 days). I and my friend, Isni, then decided to booked a Grabcar. And it only took around 30 minutes to get there, that I still have so much time left at that time because I arrived around 7.30 am and the event started at 9.00 am (supposed to be, but it actually started around 9.30). LOL.

Ah ya, FYI, the leaders camp day one (May 12) was held at Graha CIMB Niaga, while the rest two days (May 13 -14) was held at Graha Niaga Gunung Geulis, Bogor. Okay go on... Arriving at Graha CIMB Niaga Senayan I didn't know any other participants, but Isni, my only schoolmate so I decided to start my expedition (sorry to exaggerate), making some new friends. The first one I knew was Mutia from Gunadarma University who takes major Psychology, and she's actually a friend of a friend of mine. I could really feel that the world aint that big huehue since it wasn't only happened in Muti's case, but also Ina and Thoriq. And I met and made friends with the rest (mmm sorry, I couldn't remember the exact number of friend but I could remember 30-40 names out of around 80 persons). They came from LSPR, President University, UI, Binus University, etc.

The very first activity at Graha CIMB Niaga was sharing with The Amazing Dream Wariors hosted by Cheerful Kak Dean and Stunning Kak Alamanda Shantika, The one and only Maudy Ayunda and the Wise and humble Mr. Tigor Siahaan. The session went so well that I got so sooo many things that could boost my spirit and got inspired by them. Well, I'll just write it down some points I remember from that precious sharing session.

  • We just have to believe in our dreams, that someday they'll come true so that we have to fight for it. For Maudy Ayunda's case that she got accepted in one of the best university on earth, she was also ever be underestimated by the headmaster of her high school back then. As she said, the headmaster told her that she wouldn't make it to Oxford since according to him, she was too busy in entertainment industry. It's really impossible, he said to Maudy. He even gave an advice to Maudy to try another university instead that much possible to study in. She was upset hearing the judgement that finally she took a year gap to ensuring herself and finally tried to register herself to Oxford University. Surprisingly, She got accepted, it wasn't a daydream or a dream when she was sleeping at night. It's a dream which turned out to be a reality, that finally she was living her dream as an Oxford University graduate in major PPE. Who doesn't want? Yeah. There're lots of things that we could pick as lessons, such as believing in ourselves because we're the only ones who know ourselves better rather than anyone else, we're the ones who know the capability of mine, and we're the ones who will living the dreams. It might take time, but if we don't give up, we keep struggling, it surely will come true, someday.
  • We have to keep the positivity inside and outside of us. We have to stay in distance with negative thoughts that somehow we even looked down to ourselves, underestimated our capabilities, lack of confidence, and full of fear to start fight for dreams. Ya it's really normal to happen, but whenever we realise these, we should be hurry to be back to our track which is full of positive vibes. A positive mind is absolutely needed, let's just see OBSTACLES AS CHALLENGES and FAILURE AS LESSONS, like yeah, we never failed, just found out many ways that didn't work.
  • Somehow in life, we face lots of choices, even in reaching dreams. If we come to choose one, we sometimes got confused. We often asked to our brain, to our mind, to choose between two or more and it would answer with bunch of dependable things. Yea it would give us the both side of possibilities, but unexpectedly made us even much confused. Then what should we do? Ask our heart. Pray, ask Allah and He'll put the answer in our heart with only one certain answer that always positive. Point 1 and 2 are lesson from Kak Ala.
  • Last but not least, we have to keep dreaming and setting goal by goal for each day. It doesn't mean that we're being so obsessed over things, but dreams doesn't define by the age, and we're living for learning, learning to achieving goals and dreams indeed. However, we have to remember, if someday we already living dreams, we're at the top position, doesn't mean that we're the best of the best, because we are not. Achieving dreams is blessing that shouldn't be shown off. We have to keep down to earth, know where we belong. That's a lesson from Mr.Tigor Siahaan who became CEO of a bank before reaching 40.
  • And the message of #KEJARMIMPI vision, to enable dreams. As a dreamer, we're not only dreaming and pursuing our own dreams, but we have to help others to enable dreams as well, to spread the spirit in catching dreams, to be the valuable ones for surrounding.
I think that's all, I'll write it down later if there's missing point.

The second session after lunch was a group discussion. A night before the event, we're the participants were asked to submit such a social issue to be discussed with friends in session, so I did. I wrote a social issue about mismatch job, an issue that caught my attention when I was at campus. And surprisingly, my submission was selected to be one out of ten issues to be discussed in group. But, it wasn't that easy. Every social issue that has been discussed are expected to be a starting point to make a start-up. LOL, I was clueless and helpless that I should explain the issue thoroughly to my friends and had to find the solutions by finding the root cause at first. We were thinking so hard, really hard that the issue I brought was too global, and not as common as another issues such as enabling dreams of disable ones, lack of money literacy and so on. The fact that even worried me was some of the mentor involved are those who have mismatch job, they're bankers who came from vary education background such as mechanical engineering, biology, chemistry and even dentist. I was  just ah-ih-uh alone. I am pretty sure you can imagine. The lesson I remember the most from this session was.... I realised so far I only thought problems, brought it up to discuss with people but I never prepared the possible solutions. I was too busy to just observe and judge without finding the best way to resolve the situations. I realised it by the session end after got my head spinning hahahahahahaha.

After the session ended, we moved to Gunung Geulis by bus around 8.30 pm and arrived there around 10.30 pm. I was totally knackered though only sitting all day long, but the second session was really something. Ah ya, I had a roommate from UMN (Universitas Multimedia Nusantara, located in Serpong) named Ellin Alexander, I just called her Ellin. She's younger than me huhuhuhuhuhuhuhu sad to know that I was that old. At that time I just went to sleep right after showering and praying Isya hahaha. Lets jump to the second day. Yassss

The second day was started by doing some sports together with all participants and mentors earlier in the morning. Then we had breakfast and start a class (feels like in campus ya hhhhhh nope nope). Ah ya, almost forgotten, I was placed in a first group with 8 other participants and the prettiest mentor Kak Oliv woohooooooo. I'll just introduce them shortly. Here we go.
*Vanessa Christabelle - LSPR
*Nur Ariska - UNJ
*Sebastian Sihombing - UI
*M. Naufal - UI
*Faiz N - President University
*Miko F R - PKN STAN
*Tri Wahyu H - Surya University
*Husni Al Huda - UMN. Anddddd we decided to give the name of our group POWER RANGERS. It had a meaning that we came from different backgrounds but we united to achieve our dreams. EAAAAA.

The second day went so fast but lots of activities, indoor and outdoor, and of course it gave me hundreds of lessons such as confidence, trust, networking, etc etc. But I was supppperrr thrilled because it was wrapped in a fun way, such games. Wohooo. At night, there was a inspirational talk, as usual it blew my heart whenever related to parents. I couldn't help but cried a lot like a baby while right after that session we have to perform at the campfire hahahahaha. My eyes were completely swollen. It's okay tho. It ended around 11.30 pm.

The last day, we started by doing yoga leaded by Kak Aisyah the outstanding dancer. That was the very first time in my life doing yoga hwehwehwe. Then we did the next session and finally went home around 3pm. Hahaha sorry for making short at the second and third day, right now I am in a hurry to finish my thesis wqwqwqwq.

ALL I CAN SAY IS ALHAMDULILLAAH THAT I GOT AN OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN THAT PRECIOUS EVENT, MAKING NEW FAMILY WHO HAVE SAME GOALS, AND GETTING LIFE LESSON I CAN'T AFFORD WITH MONEY. IT'S REALLY MEMORABLE AND WILL LAST FOREVER IN MY MIND.

LET'S BE DREAM KEEPERS, DREAM WARRIORS, AND DREAM CATCHERS.

Cheers.
